Drugstore Haul

I shouldn't be allowed into Boots / Superdrug. The 3 for 2 offers, "Free mascara when you spend £10 or more" and attractive counters draw me in, and I only leave after spending a small fortune! I "popped" in to both yesterday, and here's what I picked up:

Can I just draw your attention to the new Maybelline Color Show nail polishes... hello dupe of Illamasqua Imperfection?! I'm very excited to try these out, I'll do a post on them tomorrow!

I ended the day with a visit to Topshop, trying and failing to avoid the nail polish section... They get me every time! I picked up the white nail art pen and this gorgeous pastel green pen as my other one had run out.

OnePiece Haul

About a month ago now I wrote a post on winning a £120 and £160 voucher for OnePiece from a Yourvine competition. You can read this post in full here, but it was essentially a haul for the items I purchased with the £120 voucher and a brief summary about Yourvine. I have waited for about three months now for the OnePiece I wanted to come into stock, and I made a visit to the site on Saturday to find my desired piece was finally back in a medium. I wanted the Lusekofte in Navy, and with £20 left over from my voucher, I also picked up one of their vest tops in Coral

I haven't exactly had luck on my side with this purchase, but I don't think I can really complain seeing as I have had £280 worth of stock from OnePiece without spending a penny on the items themselves. When I went to checkout I selected the slower delivery service, for £4.90, and decided to pay with PayPal. After clicking through to confirm the purchase, the page seemed to refresh itself and asked me to enter my bank details. I did so, assuming that it must not have selected PayPal as a payment option. After completing the purchase, I then found that I was charged £9.90 for express postage. This wasn't a great start, but like I said, I can't really complain!

The items arrived promptly (and rightfully so after spending almost ten pounds on postage!) two days later, and I couldn't wait to open the parcel and finally wear my brand new OnePiece. I peeled off the sellotape, pulled open the cardboard and then...... spotted that my OnePiece had been delivered in Black, not the Navy I had ordered. I checked the despatch note to check if it could have possibly been my error, but they had sent another customer's note, and the name and the address was not mine! I'm a little gutted because I had wanted Navy for a long time now, but Black is still great and I can't really be bothered with the hassle of sending it back / requesting an exchange / waiting for redelivery etc.

I don't want this post to be a negative review in any way whatsover, like I said I don't really feel like I can complain and I am still delighted to receive a state of the art onesie for nothing. It's just a little disappointing, and not the flawless service I expect from the rest of the online retailers I purchase from, that's all.

What do you think of the items I bought?

OnePiece Haul

A few weeks ago now I completed a series of challenges on Yourvine and as a reward I won a £120 voucher and a £160 voucher to spend at OnePiece.

For those of you who haven't heard of Yourvine, it's a brand advocacy platform which a user can sign up to, and then complete challenges set by brands in return for rewards and prizes. I first discovered Yourvine back in November last year when I read a post by LLYMRS advertising the ASOS brand challenge, so I signed up, and was lucky enough to be one of the winners of the top rewards - a £250 voucher.

Yourvine recently opened a OnePiece challenge, which particularly caught my interest as I have wanted an original branded "onesie" for a while now, but the hefty price tag that comes attached to it has always put me off. The challenges were pretty simple, ranging from uploading a link to your favourite "slacker" themetune on YouTube, to creating a 60 second video showing how someone becomes a "slacker". The top prize was £160 voucher to spend at OnePiece, but the penultimate prize was a £120 voucher to spend on non jumpsuit clothing at OnePiece, so naturally, I was playing for both.

Luckily, I won. On the downside, OnePiece seem to have NO STOCK available in my size for the onesies I want! So, I still haven't got my onesie, and have continued to "borrow" my boyfriends! I did however spend my £120 voucher... here's what I bought.

Clearly as a "onesie" company, the clothing range from OnePiece isn't the best in the world, and I probably wouldn't buy anything if it was my own money I was spending. That said, I did take a liking to these two items and considering they were free (I only had to pay the shipping from Norway), I think I have done extremely well!

These bottoms are very bright, but they are super cosy and perfect for pyjama bottoms. I wasn't expecting the Pink to be so vibrant, but I love them all the same and I can't wait to snuggle up inside them.

I love oversized t-shirts, but this is my first one with a logo on it. It's also much, much wider than all of the others I own! I like the slouchy look of this top, and I think I'm going to wear it with black leggings and a big snood for summer days when the weather isn't filling it's full potential!

What do you think of the items I purchased? Are you signed up to Yourvine?

Haul - Models Own, Topshop, Statement Necklaces...

I've been a little naughty in the last week.

Instead of spending all of the hours in the day revising, I've been spending my hard earned cash on some items I don't really need. Oops. At least I'll look stylish when I'm sitting my exams, right?

I've been wanting some new statement necklaces for a little while now, to update my wintery outfits and bring them into Spring / Summer. I found the Orange one in Dorothy Perkins and instantly fell in love with the  stones, and at £4, the Gold spiked one from Primark was an absolute steal.

I realise now that these two nail polishes are very, very similar. But, a girl can never have too many colours, and despite their similarities, they are ever so slightly different so it's okay in my eyes. I included Models Own Garnet in my giveaway recently but had to repurchase one for myself due to my sadness when sending it out in the post to my lucky winner!

The last item is something I bought a few days ago now, but I have decided to include it nonetheless as this is a collective haul. I'm going to do a review post on this tomorrow, and trust me, to all of you who have never used a night cream before, it's going to be worth a read if I do say so myself! Nivea Regenerating Night Cream was a complete bargain, half price in Boots for £2.05!

Haul - & Other Stories, Primark, Aveda, Kerastase..

Whilst I was in London this week I purposely didn't let myself get carried away and pick up too much stuff. Liberty's was crying out to me, the Harrods shop windows had never looked so good, and I couldn't stop lusting over H&M's new fashion conscious range, but I was a good girl. I managed to only spend a very respectful £17.00! I'm telling myself that this was due to my incredible self restraint, but really, it was mainly down to payday not being until next week and my bank balance being at an all time low.

Primark are on top form with their accessories at the moment; they're covering all bases for Spring / Summer trends and are still managing to stay extremely affordable whilst offering a beautiful range of pieces that wouldn't look out of place being sold for quadruple the price in Topshop or Zara.

After I posted about & Other Stories a few days back (post here) I couldn't wait to visit their brand new store on Regent Street. It was as great as I had hyped it up to be, the shop layout is clean cut with ranges displayed clearly and a large beauty section in the centre of the store. At the back of the shop there are a few beauty stands with concession brands such as This Works and Dr Bronner. If you're in London I thoroughly recommend checking it out,  you won't be disappointed and their products don't break the bank either.

You might be thinking, why is Hannah showing us the boring sponges she bought from Tesco? Well my friends, they are part of my upcoming Nails on Sunday post, so make sure you check back tomorrow to see how I use them!

I didn't buy the following items, they came in my goody bag from the Harvey Nichols SS13 show I attended on Thursday night (post below). I'm excited to use the Aveda cream, not 100% sure on the GHD mirror but it was a nice surprise to find inside my bag.

Insta-Fortnight

I'm in a pretty sad state of mind right now that these are the last 'fun' Instagram snaps I am going to take in a while, as I have a dissertation due date looming, a digital marketing pitch in the final of a competition in two weeks time and three final year exams to prepare for :( Brace yourselves for lots of Starbucks cups and Red Bull cans amongst an array of highlighters and textbooks for the next Insta-fortnight. For now at least, here's some Instagram photos I have taken over the last two weeks :)

My best friend graduated from Law last Monday so after her ceremony we celebrated with peach bellinis, a chinese feast (this wasn't just for two!) and drinks at Marco Pierre White's restaurant at the top of the Cube in Birmingham.

I surpassed the double digits and reached 100 followers on my blog!

The day I naughtily broke my spending ban for lent and went on a rampage in Boots. Haul post here.

Gossip Girl is now on Netflix! I already have boxsets of series 1-4, but this reignited my love and I am now rewatching from the very first episode :)

How cute are Lush's new range?!

Early morning trains call for a Starbucks breakfast! On the way home I spotted this floating man on New Street and had to Instagram him!

 I love my new candle!

Yummy Eggs Benedict brunch at Yorks. Full post here.

Not exactly the healthiest start to the day...

Getting excited for Easter and huge Lindt Gold Bunnies! This bench appeared in Victoria Square this week as part of Lindt's easter egg hunt :)

Hope you've enjoyed my photos! Has anyone else been up to anything exciting in the last fortnight?
