Bourjois 1 Second Nail Polish Remover

I've seen this product floating around on a few beauty blogs, and with rave reviews everywhere, when I saw it back in stock on ASOS I just had to snap it up.

To describe it in Bourjois' words, it's magic power. To describe it myself, it REALLY is magic power.

When you open up this little pink pot of joy, you see a deep black hole in the middle. Surrounding the hole is a sponge saturated in 'Rouge and Vanilla' scented nail polish remover. It really is as simple as 1, 2, 3, you just dip your fingernail into the pot, twist, and pull back a naked nail free of nail polish!

I haven't tried this with any glitter nail polishes yet and I imagine it will be a slightly tougher feat, but anything will be better than scrubbing away for ten minutes at a stubborn polish not wishing to part with your nail!

The 1 second Bourjois nail  remover retails at £4.99, and although steeper than your average bottle of Sally Hansen, it really is worth it for the time and effort it will save you.

Have you tried this nail polish remover? What do you think?

Venice, Italy

Apologies for not blogging in a few days, I've been away for a long weekend in Venice!

Venice is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. Think long windy canals, aqua green coloured water, narrow streets to get lost in, the hustle and bustle of canalside markets and beautiful architecture everywhere you look. I booked this little getaway for my boyfriend's Christmas present and at 6am on Saturday 26th January, we embarked on our Venetian adventure.

All ready for take off!

Without a doubt the best flying conditions I have ever experienced! Not a cloud in the sky and we flew right over London and The Alps! Can you spot the Olympic Stadium?

Sunset over San Marco Piazza

Vaporetto - The Venetian bus / tube service! A 72 hour travel card only costs €18 if you are under 28 so this is a great and extremely inexpensive way to explore the lagoon by boat.

Marizpan fruits!

On Sunday morning we took Vaporetto line 3 out into the lagoon to the island of Murano, renowned for it's glass blowing factories. Unfortunately as it was low season we weren't able to find a factory offering a demonstration as our guidebook indicated, so we spent our time strolling around the canalside and browsing the many glass museums and stores instead.

A Vaporetto entering San Marco Piazza station

The view from the top of the Campanile - San Marco Basilica, the coastline and San Marco Piazza. If you visit Venice, I highly reccomend a trip to the top of the Campanile, it only costs €8 which is very reasonable compared to some towers I have been up (Berlin Fernsehturm / Tour D'Effiel) and the views are incredible. On a clear day you can see as far as The Alps! Interestingly, not a single canal can be seen from the top of the Campanile.

Gondolas!

Yum!

Hard Rock Cafe Venice, the smallest Hard Rock in Europe at only 360 square metres!

Italian valentines lollipops and the beautiful sunset on the flight home.

I hope you have enjoyed looking through my pictures, this is only a small snippet because if I put them all up I think both of our computers would crash!

Have you been to Venice? Did we visit the same places?
