Haul - & Other Stories, Primark, Aveda, Kerastase..

Whilst I was in London this week I purposely didn't let myself get carried away and pick up too much stuff. Liberty's was crying out to me, the Harrods shop windows had never looked so good, and I couldn't stop lusting over H&M's new fashion conscious range, but I was a good girl. I managed to only spend a very respectful £17.00! I'm telling myself that this was due to my incredible self restraint, but really, it was mainly down to payday not being until next week and my bank balance being at an all time low.

Primark are on top form with their accessories at the moment; they're covering all bases for Spring / Summer trends and are still managing to stay extremely affordable whilst offering a beautiful range of pieces that wouldn't look out of place being sold for quadruple the price in Topshop or Zara.

After I posted about & Other Stories a few days back (post here) I couldn't wait to visit their brand new store on Regent Street. It was as great as I had hyped it up to be, the shop layout is clean cut with ranges displayed clearly and a large beauty section in the centre of the store. At the back of the shop there are a few beauty stands with concession brands such as This Works and Dr Bronner. If you're in London I thoroughly recommend checking it out,  you won't be disappointed and their products don't break the bank either.

You might be thinking, why is Hannah showing us the boring sponges she bought from Tesco? Well my friends, they are part of my upcoming Nails on Sunday post, so make sure you check back tomorrow to see how I use them!

I didn't buy the following items, they came in my goody bag from the Harvey Nichols SS13 show I attended on Thursday night (post below). I'm excited to use the Aveda cream, not 100% sure on the GHD mirror but it was a nice surprise to find inside my bag.

Naughty Haul

When Ash Wednesday hit this year, I couldn't think of any better than to give up spending for lent. But, as the days drew longer and my new foundation started to run out, my lust for new products got the better of me and I went shopping. I know what you're thinking, I failed. I gave up too easily and I wasn't committed enough to stick it out. But, the feel of my card in the chip and pin device, carrying new bags home and being able to post a brand new haul for you guys... Damn, it's so good. I sound like Rebecca Bloomwood don't I?

Here's the items I purchased during my naughty haul:

I didn't buy too much, but it satisfied me all the same.

Rimmel London True Match foundation in 201 Classic Beige - £6.99
Barry M nail polish in 296 Coral - £2.99
Denman D3 medium 7 row hairbrush - £7.09 (random price, isn't it?!)
2 True waterproof eyeliner - £1.99
Garnier Moisture Match 'Shine Be Gone' mattifying moisturiser - £5.99
Primark Home pillowcases - £1.80 each
Primark Home Elderflower and Champagne candle - £2.00

Now for the excuses behind the splurge; I've needed a new hairbrush for a long while now and I've been 'making do' with a cheap one for too long much to the dismay of my hair... my foundation and eyeliner both ran out the day before I went shopping... those beautiful pillowcases are pretty much impossible to resist and the candle was an impulse buy when queueing due to it's amazing scent. Am i forgiven? I didn't think so.

I'm going to try out the Garnier moisturiser over the next few days and post my thoughts as part of my 'Tuesday Reviewsday' post!

In other news, I am still waiting on three of the items I purchased for my 100 followers giveaway to arrive! :( As soon as they do I will get the post up asap, I'm so excited to be doing my first giveaway!

Hope you're all having a great weekend.

Tuesday's Haul

Hey everyone, I hope this week is treating you well so far.

I thought I would share with you some of the things, big and small, that I have purchased in the last week :)

I bought these three pieces from Primark. I absolutely love this clutch, I think it looks like real leather and a lot more expensive than it was (£6)! The only downside is that it only has studs on one side. The Navy top was also £6 and the chiffon polka dot blouse was £10. Bargain!

I'm a big fan of fur collars, so when I spotted this Navy one peeking at me from the sale rack I could resist! It was £12 reduced from £24 so I had to have it!

I'm the sort of person who always finds it hard to really like a sleeveless top, as I find they're always too low cut for me / too tight / too baggy. When I found this in Warehouse I wasn't 100% sure if it would look good on, as it has a really high neckline and slightly dipped sleeves, but it actually is a really flattering cut. I'm planning on wearing this tucked into a Black maxi skirt with my Brown Hermes belt when I go to Venice in a few weeks.

Nothing special, but an everyday essential I picked up because my old bottle had ran out. Batiste Dry Shampoo is a product I don't think I will ever cease to purchase, it comes in so handy all the time! The 'Wild' scented bottle is my favourite, it's more musky than the tropical / coconut bottles and smells more like a hairspray.

I've wanted a tiered cake stand for a while now, and with an upcoming best friend's birthday, I'm planning on putting on champagne afternoon tea so I knew I needed to find one sharpish. This was actually from Wilkinsons, surprisingly, and only cost £6.00! It was marked up as £8.00 but then scanned through cheaper, don't you just love it when that happens!?? Anyway, it's a pretty White porcelain two tiered stand, and will be perfect for my celebrations.

I put Yankee Votives in my wishlist yesterday (see below post) and I really wish I had purchased more! This one, in Clean Cotton smells so divine that I may well be purchasing the large jar. For now however, the Votives are only £1.80 from House of Fraser and provide up to 15 hours burning time, so they are brilliant for testing out new scents.

This is a bit of an odd purchase, as I have owned this keyring before. I bought it last year from Ted Baker in Selfridges for £12.00 but somehow after about a week of owning it, managed to lose it (I'm not sure how either when it was stuck to my keys!) so that was the end of that. I had tried to repurchase it, but sadly I never saw it in stock again. UNTIL... Last Saturday I went to Cheshire Oaks Designer Shopping Village and what did I stumble across?! My keyring! Haha.. Shallow I know, but it really did make my day, and to put a cherry on top... It had been reduced to £6.50. Happy Hannah.

Thanks for reading everyone, I hope you liked some of my purchases!

What have you been buying in the last week or so?
